The John Green Campaign

March is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and this year Bristol Rovers has partnered with the Bristol Rovers Community Trust, North Bristol NHS Trust, part of Bristol NHS Group, and Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire (SWAG) Cancer Alliance to launch a campaign to raise awareness of prostate cancer risk, increase knowledge among male supporters and their families, encourage early detection and connect our community to local resources.

The campaign is named in honour of lifelong Bristol Rovers supporter John Green, who was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer in early 2024. Since his diagnosis, John has sought to raise the understanding of the risks and symptoms associated with prostate cancer and has worked tirelessly with clubs across the country to encourage honest, transparent conversations.

Representatives from North Bristol NHS Trust and the SWAG Cancer Alliance will be on site on Saturday 7 March to give out educational materials and chat to supporters about prostate cancer.

You can find out more about the campaign here.

Her Game Too

International Women's Day is on Sunday 8 March, so Crewe Alexandra will be our dedicated Her Game Too fixture.

Her Game Too will be based in the Fanzone pre-match with a face painting and merch stall. Look out for the players wearing Her Game Too t-shirts during warm ups, and for a flag-bearer leading the players out of the tunnel before kick-off.

Club Shop

The official Bristol Rovers Club Shop, located underneath the East Stand, will be open from 10am until kick-off and then after the match until 5:30pm

Visit the shop for an exclusive in-store offer! We will have Adult Home Shirts on sale for £35 and Junior Home Shirts for £30, so you can pick up this season's blue and white quarters for less.

Fanzone

Work is continuing to the shrub area at the top of the Fanzone. Please continue to adhere to the temporary barriers while they are in place.

The Fanzone Screen will be showing FA Cup action with Mansfield Town v Arsenal kicking off at 12:15pm. We'll also be screening the Italy v England Six Nations clash from 4:40pm.

While you're enjoying the sports, don't miss the live music on our Fanzone stage from 1:30pm onwards where we'll be joined by The Hot Juice Project, a high-energy local band covering all your favourite pop, punk, indie, and everything in between!

The Community Trust Pirate Deck will be open from 12:30pm until 2:45pm. This is a dedicated space for families within our Fanzone where children aged 14 and under can enjoy playing together, meeting our Club mascots Captain Gas and Irene, and inflatable football games in the lead up to kick-off.

Please note that the indoor games hub is currently closed for maintenance.

Happy Hour will be running from midday until 2pm and 5pm until 6pm in Thatchers Bar, BRFC Legends Bar and in our Fanzone Bars, where you can enjoy £4.50 draught pints before and after the match.
