Bristol Rovers v Swindon Town
Sky Bet League Two, The Memorial Stadium, Saturday 24 October 2026, 12:30pm KO
Bristol Rovers will be seeking their first league win over Swindon Town since January 2017 as they face the Robins at The Memorial Stadium for Saturday's early kick-off.
The Pirates have lost their last four Sky Bet League Two games, most recently falling 2-1 to Salford City on Tuesday night. The Ammies had a two-goal lead at half-time thanks to strikes from Brendan Wiredu and Daniel Udoh before the Gas got one back after the break through Jack Sparkes, who curled a free-kick into the bottom corner moments after Ellis Harrison smashed the bar with a penalty.
It was Rovers' second straight defeat at The Mem after their club-record 11-game home winning run in the league ended with a 3-1 loss against Barnet, where the Gas led early through Ellis Harrison and dominated most of the contest before the Bees struck three late goals to claim all of the points.
Swindon impressed in their previous outing, beating previously unbeaten Barnet 3-1 at The Hive. Mitch Clark broke the deadlock before Aaron Drinan's brace gave the Robins a three-goal advantage at half-time. Kabongo Tshimanga got one back for the Bees in the 90th minute, but Ian Holloway's men held on to secure an impressive away victory.

Opposition...
Swindon's 2025/26 season ended in disappointment after showing plenty of promise for most of the campaign. The Robins had ambitions of promotion to Sky Bet League One since the 2020/21 campaign and looked on course to achieve a play-off position, sitting in the top eight from the sixth league game until the 44th.
However, just one win in their final seven Sky Bet League Two fixtures derailed their hopes, with back-to-back defeats to Grimsby Town and Chesterfield seeing them finish in ninth.
There were major squad changes in the summer, with ten players leaving at the end of their contracts, and several loanees returning to their parent clubs. In terms of additions, Holloway added experience. Matty Virtue and Mitch Clark moved from fellow Sky Bet League Two teams Fleetwood Town and Port Vale, respectively, and Dan Butler switched on loan from Stevenage.
Former Rovers loanee Stephan Negru made the permanent switch from Oxford United, while Kaelan Majekodunmi signed for Swindon from Australian team Olympic Kingsway. The Robins also made the most of the loan market, adding young players from the Premier League and Sky Bet Championship.
Swindon registered three wins from their opening five matches to sit second in the league before a six-game winless run saw them move down to 18th. Nevertheless, the Robins have plenty of confidence heading into the contest against Rovers after a 3-1 triumph over Barnet last time out and will be backed by a packed away end at The Mem.
Previous Meetings...
Rovers have had a tough record against Swindon, winning one of the previous eight fixtures against the Robins across all competitions. The Gas' only triumph came at The Mem in the EFL Trophy in October 2022, with Ryan Loft, Harry Anderson and Luke McCormick scoring in a 3-0 win.
In Sky Bet League Two last season, Swindon beat Rovers at The Mem 3-0 before a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture, with Kane Thompson-Sommers scoring a spectacular solo goal before Ollie Palmer levelled in the second half.
The Pirates' previous win in the league over Swindon was in January 2017, when Billy Bodin scored the only goal at The Mem.
