Bristol Rovers can confirm that Yusuf Akhamrich has been called up for Morocco U23s upcoming international fixtures.
The 20-year-old joined the Pirates on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, making his mark at The Memorial Stadium with a stunning brace in a 3-0 triumph over Newport County. He has scored four goals and registered two assists for the Gas in 13 appearances in all competitions.
Morocco U23s will face Côte d’Ivoire in two friendlies, with the first coming on Thursday 26 March and Tuesday 31 March.
Two Rovers players out on loan have also received international call-ups. Ollie Dewsbury has been named in Cymru U18s for the first round of the 2026/27 men's U19 EURO qualifiers in Switzerland next week.
Cymru have been drawn in Group A7 and will face France, Switzerland and Hungary. The Dragons will face France at the Stade de le Fontenette in Carouge on Wednesday 25 March, with kick-off at 6:30pm GMT.
They will then face hosts Switzerland in the same stadium on Saturday 28 March, with kick-off at 5pm GMT. The final fixture of the international window will be against Hungary at the Stade de Copet in Vevey on Tuesday 31 March, with kick-off at 5:30pm GMT.
Kamil Conteh has also been named in Sierra Leone's upcoming matches in the FIFA Series in Azerbaijan. Sierra Leone will face Oman in the semi-finals on Friday 27 March in Baku at the Dalga Arena at 11am.
Depending on the result, Sierra Leone will either play in the final at the Sumgayit City Stadium or the Dalga Arena on Monday 30 March 2026, where they will face either Azerbaijan or Saint Lucia.
Everyone at Bristol Rovers would like to congratulate Yusuf, Ollie and Kamil on their well-deserved call-ups and wish them every success on the international stage.
