Bristol Rovers v Milton Keynes Dons
Sky Bet League Two, The Memorial Stadium, Saturday 11 October 2025, 3:00pm KO
Bristol Rovers will look for their fourth straight victory at The Memorial Stadium when they host Milton Keynes Dons in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday.
The Gas have only lost one of their previous nine fixtures in all competitions and bounced back from last weekend's disappointing 2-1 loss away to Walsall with a win over Cheltenham Town in the Vertu Trophy in midweek. Luke Thomas scored the only goal at The EV Charger Points Stadium, curling a fine second-half strike in off the post.
Before the Gas' defeat to Walsall, Rovers had won five of their previous seven games, with three triumphs at The Mem. Cambridge United, Barrow and Salford were all beaten by the Pirates, with the Dons up next.
MK Dons beat Gillingham 3-2 in their previous outing in the fourth tier, resisting a late comeback after an own goal by Sam Gale, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, and Callum Paterson had given Paul Warne's men a three-goal lead.

Opposition...
MK Dons have been as high as the Championship, where they spent one season in the 2015/16 season, and clearly have plans of gaining promotion out of Sky Bet League Two in their third straight term in the fourth tier.
The Dons struggled to get going last campaign under Mike Williamson or Scott Lindsey, remaining towards the bottom end of the table until Warne took charge for the final four games. The former Derby County manager oversaw three draws and one win without conceding and was backed in the summer transfer window.
Headlining their signings was the ambitious addition of Aaron Collins, who moved down to the fourth tier from Bolton Wanderers. He scored 12 goals in 35 appearances for the Trotters last term. However, the striker has only played twice this season due to injury setbacks.
Callum Patterson and Nathaniel Méndez-Laing joined from Championship outfits Sheffield Wednesday and Derby, respectively. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy was also an impressive addition after scoring ten goals in 42 appearances for Crawley Town last term. Nevertheless, he might also be missing after being absent from the Dons' win over Gillingham.
MK Dons are sixth in Sky Bet League Two and have won back-to-back games in the fourth tier, beating Gillingham and Shrewsbury Town, recovering well from a four-game winless run. They are one point above Rovers and three points behind Grimsby Town, who are in third position.

Previous Meetings...
Rovers have won just two of their previous six games against MK Dons, losing their last meeting at The Mem 2-0 in February 2023. The Gas did beat the Dons 4-1 at home in the EFL Trophy in the same season, with their last league triumph coming in 2019. Tom Davies netted the only goal in a 1-0 victory, flicking Luke Leahy's cross into the net.
The two teams have only met twice in the fourth tier, with MK Dons claiming a 2-0 win at home thanks to goals from Lloyd Dyer and Clive Platt before a 1-1 draw at The Mem in the reverse fixture.
