An impressive 743 Gasheads made the trip to the Exercise Stadium to watch a five-goal thriller that had plenty of twists and turns. Ellis Taylor opened the scoring for the hosts, curling an impressive left-footed strike beyond the reach of Brad Young to give the Sulphurites the lead at half-time.
The Gas levelled soon after the break via Shaq Forde's fine finish into the bottom right corner, but Harrogate responded almost immediately. Taylor was at it again, thumping a close-range effort into the roof of the net.
However, it was Rovers that went home with all three points thanks to substitute Ellis Harrison. The striker got onto Forde's cross to sneak in the equaliser before thumping a low penalty into the back of the net to seal a fifth straight triumph for the Gas.
