Bristol Rovers pay tribute to Jayden Watts

Jayden Watts remembrance

All at Bristol Rovers Football Club were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jayden Watts.

Jayden's love and passion for Rovers was a constant on matchdays at The Memorial Stadium, attending each and every game with his father Justin.

His infectious personality lit up the Seat Unique Suite as he assisted his dad in hosting hospitality guests and club partners, and Jayden took great pride in running back to the hospitality area to update club staff when the Gas had scored a goal.

Jayden, born with a rare heart condition, tragically passed away aged 14 on Tuesday 7 April 2026. In honour of his memory and love for the Club, all at Bristol Rovers came together to pay tribute to a young man who smiled brightest when watching his beloved Pirates.

As play ticked into the 14th minute at Saturday's match against Crawley Town, the Memorial Stadium rose in unison to show their love and respect for Jayden with applause. The Rovers players, joined by their Crawley counterparts and match officials, stopped play and joined in the tribute.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help cover funeral costs for Jayden, which supporters are invited to contribute here.
