Bristol Rovers FC are looking to recruit a part time Academy coach to work within the Youth Development Phase of our Category 3 Licenced Academy programme.

Successful applicants will report directly to the Lead Phase Coach and the Head of Coaching, and will be responsible for the delivery of the Academy coaching programme in line with the Academy philosophy.

We are looking for individuals who have excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills, as well as being a role-model to young players. They will be able to show that they are capable of creating and delivering innovative and engaging coaching sessions to challenge and develop the player in line with the Academy coaching syllabus, as well as demonstrating that they understand the needs of the modern young player in terms of their physical and psychological development.

The roles involve working in the evenings (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday) and during Weekends. There will also be an expectation for administrative tasks to be completed as part of the role.

Applicants will only be considered if they hold a minimum of UEFA 'B' coaching qualification (essential), be working towards the FA Mod 3 Youth Award (desirable), as well as having demonstrable experience of working with players within the u13-u16s age range. Applicants will also need to be locally based (living within 30 minutes of the Bristol area).

Successful applicants will undergo a screening process that will include an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.

Talent ID Vacancies
Bristol Rovers FC are looking to recruit 2 part time Talent ID scouts to work within the Recruitment Department of our Category 3 Licenced Academy programme. Successful applicants will report directly to the Head of Academy Recruitment, and will support the identification and recruitment of talented young players locally.

We are looking for individuals who have a strong knowledge of local junior football and ideally with a pre-existing network of contacts. The individual must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to act as a front-line ambassador for the Club and the Academy within the local community.

The 2 vacancies available are:

  • South Gloucestershire/Stroud regional scout
  • Inner City Bristol

The roles involve flexible working during Weekends. There will also be an expectation for administrative tasks to be completed as part of the role.

Applicants must be locally based (living within close proximity to the appointed region) and be in possession of the FA Talent ID Level 1 (desirable).
