GAME OF THE SEASON

It is time to vote for your Bristol Rovers Men's Game Of The Season for the 2025/26 campaign!

There have been plenty of thrilling fixtures for the Pirates this season, either in front of a packed crowd at The Mem or a busy away end when the Gas have gone on the road.

Every Gashead will have a favourite fixture from the 2025/26 campaign. Whether it be a dramatic comeback, individual excellence, a derby triumph or late drama, there has been a plethora of memorable moments to choose from.

Gasheads can now vote for the match that stood out this season, with five options to choose from below...

Bristol Rovers 2-1 Salford City

Rovers' win over Salford City had a little bit of everything. The Ammies were in superb form and were on course for their fourth straight victory in Sky Bet League Two when former Pirates midfielder Matt Butcher placed a fine first-time effort into the top corner.

However, the Gas staged an impressive comeback. Ellis Harrison bagged his third goal of the campaign, getting onto Alfie Kilgour's flicked header before finishing from close range. Fabrizio Cavegn then completed the turnaround. He showed quick thinking to make the most of a defensive mistake before slotting a low effort into the back of the net.

However, the drama was not over after the referee awarded Salford a penalty in the final seconds, with Luke Thomas fouling Jorge Grant. Nevertheless, Luke Southwood stood up to the task, getting down to his right to push away Luke Garbutt's spot-kick.

Shrewsbury Town 0-3 Bristol Rovers

The Pirates' victory over Shrewsbury Town was both crucial and emphatic. Steve Evans was looking to guide the Gas to their first victory since taking charge, and after a quiet first half, the Pirates took complete control in the second.

Fabrizio Cavegn took all of the headlines, bagging his first professional hat-trick with three instinctive finishes. The forward made the most of a defensive mistake to score and added his second soon after, getting onto Shaq Forde's cutback before crashing in his close-range effort.

The 23-year-old then completed his hat-trick in the final moments. Joel Senior raced down the right and slotted a cross towards Cavegn, who was at the right place at the right time to seal the three points.

Bristol Rovers 3-0 Newport County

Rovers' 3-0 victory over Newport County was the day Yusuf Akhamrich announced himself to the Gasheads at The Memorial Stadium. The Tottenham Hotspur loanee had shown glimpses of promise in substitute appearances away at Salford and Milton Keynes Dons before bagging a brace against the Exiles.

The 20-year-old broke the deadlock with a superb left-footed strike from the edge of the box, curling his strike across the goal and into the top corner before adding his second soon after. Akhamrich brilliantly brought down Kilgour's direct pass forward before finishing with composure.

The Pirates then added a third on the counter. Shaq Forde threaded a pass down the left to Cavegn, who moved into the box with possession before thumping a right-footed effort into the back of the net to complete the Severnside derby in style.

Bristol Rovers 2-1 Crewe Alexandra

Endings at The Mem do not come much better than the Gas' 2-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra in Sky Bet League Two. Alfie Pond's first-half effort had given the visitors the lead for most of the contest before substitute Tommy Leigh produced two vital moments in the closing stages.

The Bradford City loanee levelled the score with a powerful header after Joel Senior had found him with a perfect cross, coming up with an even more memorable moment in stoppage time.

A long ball forward from Ryan de Havilland was only cleared as far as Leigh, who took a touch before blasting a strike beyond the reach of Ian Lawlor. The celebrations were as special as the goal, with Leigh sliding towards the corner flag, closely followed by all of his team-mates and staff.

Harrogate Town 2-3 Bristol Rovers

Rovers had to fight from behind twice before collecting all three points in a five-goal thriller against Harrogate. The Sulphurites were fighting against relegation and gained a first-half lead through Ellis Taylor's whipped strike from outside of the box.

The Gas came out of the blocks quickly after the break, and Shaq Forde levelled the score with a fine finish into the bottom corner before Taylor netted again to give the hosts the advantage.

However, the Gas were not disheartened. Forde turned provider, with his cross deflecting towards Harrison to score with a clever effort before the striker blasted a spot-kick down the middle of the goal to help the Pirates to a win in front of 743 travelling Gasheads.

Bristol Rovers 4-0 Cheltenham Town

The Pirates' final home match of the 2025/26 season will live long in the memory for every Gashead.

The Gas were looking for an eighth straight victory, something no other team in the English Football League had achieved in the campaign, and got off to the perfect start when Ellis Harrison headed in the opener inside two minutes.

The striker got his second goal before half-time to double Rovers' advantage, then completed his hat-trick in style after the break, chipping the goalkeeper from just inside Cheltenham's half.

Manager Steve Evans then went into the Thatchers End for the closing stages of the contest to stand alongside all of the Gasheads and watch Shaq Forde net the Gas' fourth goal from close range.
