It has been a busy summer getting ready for the 2026/27 season for Bristol Rovers Manager Steve Evans.
The work started well before the players returned for pre-season, with the Gas making eight summer additions to strengthen the squad. Kofi Balmer, Richie Smallwood and Tommy Leigh all returned to the Club after successful loan stints, with Bobby Kamwa, Tom James, Ben Purrington and Jack Aitchison also moving to BS7.
Rovers returned to the pitch with a 3-0 win over National League South outfit Weston-super-Mare and face Salisbury on Saturday afternoon, with Evans looking to give his players some more valuable minutes.
Speaking to the media, Evans reflected on pre-season so far, discussed the transfer window and looked ahead to the Pirates' trip to Scotland later in the month.
