Referee Robert Massey‑Ellis will be the man in the middle for Bristol Rovers' trip to Shrewsbury Town in Sky Bet League Two.
This will be the first time that Massey‑Ellis has officiated a fixture for either Rovers or Shrewsbury, with the majority of his games coming in the National League (80) or National League North (75) in his career.
In the 2025/26 campaign, the referee has officiated 17 fixtures across six different competitions, appearing twice in Sky Bet League Two. First overseeing fixtures in the fourth tier last season, his previous game in the competition came in October, where Oldham Athletic drew 0-0 with Barrow.
His last game in any competition came in the National League on Boxing Day, with Solihull Moors beating Tamworth 7-1. Robert Massey‑Ellis is also married to Sian Massey-Ellis, who has been an assistant referee for 95 Premier League matches.
He will be joined by Oliver Bickle and Oliver Nolan as Assistant Referees and Daniel Robinson as the Fourth Official.
