Experienced referee Matthew Russell will be officiating Tuesday night's Vertu Trophy fixture between Cheltenham Town and Bristol Rovers at the EV Charger Points Stadium.
Russell has refereed seven fixtures in the 2025/26 season, most recently overseeing Exeter City U21s 1-0 victory over Brentford U21s in the Premier League Cup.
Appearing the most in the National League, refereeing 76 times, Russell has officiated six games in the Vertu Trophy, with five coming last season. One of his three Rovers fixtures came in the competition last term, with the Gas losing 3-2 to Exeter City at The Memorial Stadium.
Russell's last Cheltenham match also came in the Vertu Trophy, with the Robins winning 2-1 away to Newport County.
He will be accompanied by assistant referees Christopher Husband and Andrew Aylott, as well as Declan O'Shea, who is the Fourth Official.
