Meet the Officials | Cambridge United (A)

Thomas Parsons

Thomas Parsons will be the referee for Bristol Rovers' trip to Cambridge United in Sky Bet League Two this weekend.

Parsons has officiated six Rovers fixtures in his career, with his first being in the 2022/23 season, when the Gas beat Cambridge 2-1 away from home after goals from Josh Coburn and Scott Sinclair. His previous outing with the Pirates came earlier this campaign, with the Gas losing to Tranmere Rovers at The Memorial Stadium.

In comparison, Parsons has refereed five of Cambridge's fixtures. However, this will be his first match with the U's this season, with his previous game coming when they drew 2-2 with Wrexham last campaign.

Overall, Parsons has refereed 217 matches across his professional career. His 47 in Sky Bet League Two is more than in any other competition in his career. In the 2025/26 term, he has refereed 24 fixtures across six different competitions. His previous outing came in the National League, where Carlisle United beat Scunthorpe United 3-2 earlier this month.

He will be joined by Daniel D'urso and Rob Smith as assistant referees, as well as Christopher Myatt as the fourth official.
