The Pirates got off to a flying start, scoring inside two minutes, with Kofi Balmer netting his second stunner at The Memorial Stadium, this time driving a right-footed volley into the bottom corner.
It was not long until the Pirates hit the back of the net again. Yusuf Akhamrich got down the left and cut the ball across to Joe Quigley, who finished clinically beyond Jackson Smith.
Andy Cook got one back for the Marines before half-time, but Rovers regained control of the contest in the second half and scored a third. Akhamrich collected the ball on the right side of the box before shifting onto his left and rolling a clever attempt into the corner to score his fourth goal at The Mem in the blue-and-white quarters this season.
