A confident striker is massive for any football club, and Fabrizio Cavegn feels like he has his confidence back after scoring in Bristol Rovers' 2-0 win over Cambridge United in the First Round Proper of the Emirates FA Cup.
The forward went into Friday night's fixture without scoring since the Gas' 1-0 win over Exeter City in September, often going close without hitting the back of the net. However, that has not stopped Cavegn from picking up good positions, and he finally got his reward under the lights.
After Reiss Russell-Denny broke the deadlock, Cavegn added a second, picking up possession on the left before drilling his strike into the bottom corner. All four of his goals have come at The Memorial Stadium this season, with the Swiss striker thriving in front of the Thatchers End.
Speaking to BRTV after the game, Cavegn smiled throughout as he explained his goal and what it means to score in front of the Gasheads.
