The Pirates were looking to complete a first-ever league double over the Exiles after a thrilling 3-2 victory at Exiles back in September, breaking the deadlock through a January addition. Yusuf Akhamrich, brought in on loan from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, curled a superb strike into the top corner from range on his first senior start.
The winger had plenty of confidence and doubled his and Rovers tally soon after. His second effort was spectacular for different reasons, with the 20-year-old bringing down Alfie Kilgour's pass perfectly before finishing.
As the game was heading towards its conclusion, Fabrizio Cavegn got in on the act, getting onto Shaq Forde's pass down the left before cutting inside and blasting a shot into the back of the net for his 14th goal of the campaign in all competitions.
