Striker Bloomfield began her career at Yeovil Town, making her Women’s Super League debut at just 16 years old in a match against Arsenal. She quickly made an impression, scoring in an FA Cup tie against Birmingham City — becoming one of the youngest players to score in the competition’s proper rounds.
In October 2019, she joined Southampton Women’s FC, where she made an immediate impact by scoring 12 goals in just 10 games before the season was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bloomfield later spent three years in the United States playing for Troy University in Alabama, before returning to Southampton for a second spell. She most recently joined the Cherries, scoring 22 goals in 29 appearances last season.

Reflecting on last season — what did it mean to you to be part of that title-winning squad? How did it feel?
"It felt amazing. I think I was part of a squad that worked incredibly hard, and we reaped the rewards for that. It was fantastic to be part of something so special and to make history. Hopefully, we can do it again — I want that winning feeling back."
Thinking about building on your experience — what lessons or qualities are you hoping to bring into Rovers?
"One of the biggest things I learned last season is that you have to give 100% throughout the entire season. It’s not enough to be enthusiastic at the start — it’s about showing up and pushing through on the tough days too, when it's raining or freezing.
You have to go just as hard then as you do on a sunny day. I’m hoping to bring that kind of energy and passion into the squad here."

You had an impressive goal tally last season. What do you think was the key to your form in front of goal, and how do you plan to carry that into this season?
"At the start of last season, I found a lot of confidence in myself and my ability — and I think that really showed on the pitch.
I probably played better than I ever had before. Believing in myself made all the difference. Now, after proving I can score goals consistently, I’m coming into pre-season fully believing I can do the same — and hopefully even better."
How have you found the coaching staff and the general culture at the club so far?
"Since I arrived, everyone — the coaches and staff — have been really welcoming.
One of the main reasons I chose to come to Bristol Rovers was that we seemed to click straight away. We share the same values and vision for the season, and that alignment really stood out to me. It just felt like the right fit."
Aside from that big game at the Vitality where you celebrated winning the league, was there any other standout moment from last season that stuck with you?
"Honestly, I don't think it was just one moment. For me, it was a buildup of moments throughout the season. I took my chances, and each time I did, I built on them. I grew stronger as the season went on — it was more about that steady progression than any single highlight."

Manager Nathan Hallett-Young on new signing Erin Bloomfield from AFC Bournemouth:
"We're absolutely buzzing to have Erin on board. She’s a player of real quality and brings a strong calibre to the squad. She’ll add a lot to our goalscoring department, which is an area we’ve been keen to develop heading into pre-season and the new campaign.
What’s most exciting is that Erin’s ready to hit the ground running. Even after winning the league last season, she’s hungry to push on and keep developing. We're confident that her contribution in the final third will be significant and help drive us toward the top end of the table."
