Loan Round-Up: Rovers pair progress in FA Cup Qualifiers

14 October 2020

We take a look at how our Gas loanees have been performing over the past few days...

It was a successful midweek period for our on-loan youngsters, with Lucas Tomlinson, fresh from the announcement of his loan move to Bath City, starting for the Romans in their FA Cup 3rd Round qualifier against Slough Town. His side battled to a 1-0 victory, to progress to the fourth and final qualifying round.

Elsewhere in the FA Cup qualifiers, young striker Kieran Phillips came off the bench for Chippenham Town as they progressed against Ebbsfleet Town on penalties. It was former-Rovers goalkeeper Will Puddy who would become to hero from the penalty spot in the shootout, as he dispatched the winner to send Chippenham into the next round.

Looking back at the weekend's games, Liam Armstrong featured again for Salisbury in a 2-2 draw with Poole Town, maintaining their unbeaten start to their Southern League Premier Division South season.

Loan pairing Ollie Hulbert and Harry Warwick both started for Cardiff Met Uni FC in their 2-1 loss to Connah's Quay on the weekend.
