Harry Warwick signs new deal with the Gas

26 June 2020

The Club is pleased to confirm that striker Harry Warwick has finalised a new deal.

Warwick was a member of the cohort of six Academy graduates to sign a pro deal in the summer of 2019 and has today agreed terms to extend his stay at the Memorial Stadium.

The striker's impressive goalscoring return during the 2018/19 season for the Academy grabbed attention, as the forward recorded 18 goals and 8 assists across the campaign. This led to the then scholar joining Gloucester City on loan in October 2018.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed further loan spells to gain exposure to first-team football, including stints at Truro City, Gosport Borough and Dorchester Town, while also featuring regularly for the Rovers Development Squad.

Speaking about the deal, Manager Ben Garner said, "We are pleased that Harry has agreed a new deal.

"The loan experiences have given him a valuable grounding in first-team football and with hard work he now has the opportunity to progress his career to the next level.”

Development Squad Manager, Lee Mansell added, "Harry has pace to burn and a real eye for goal.

"Along with the other members of the Development Squad, these players have come through our Academy setup and shows that if you are willing to work hard and take your chances when provided, then there is a real pathway now in which you can break through into the first-team."
