Liam Armstrong has joined Mangotsfield United on a short-term loan
A product of the Rovers Academy, Liam Armstrong has already been on a number of short term loan deals, turning out for Paulton Rovers, Larkhall Athletic, and Tiverton Town previously as his goalkeeping ability progresses. In particular, his spell at Tiverton Town drew plaudits from their supporters, as Armstrong earned the Young Player of the Year award for his performances throughout last season.
Armstrong's move to Mangotsfield United will mark the latest chapter in his development as the youngster looks to gain more vital experience in men's football.
The 'keeper recently featured in an edition of 'The Pirate' and spoke about how important it is to be playing regularly, reflecting on his 52 games last season, "With every game I found myself maturing and learning something new. There was never any plateau in my development; every game was different - the conditions, the players."
