Community Trust Announce Four 'Player Ambassadors'

14 November 2019

Bristol Rovers Community Trust are delighted to announce their ‘Player Ambassadors’ for the season.

The Trust can confirm that Ollie Clarke, Alex Rodman, Mark Little, and Alfie Kilgour have been assigned as ambassadors to the four key areas where the Community Trust focus their efforts, health, education, inclusion and sports.

Ollie Clarke – Health Ambassador
One of the main priorities for the Community Trust, is the delivery of projects to help improve the health and well-being for participants in our communities. Projects such as ‘Recovery Through Sport’ aim to harness the power of sport to improve people’s physical and mental wellbeing while programmes like the long-running Extra Time Club for Over 60’s, helps tackle issues such as loneliness and social isolation, as well as helping to increase participation in physical activity among the senior community.

Alex Rodman – Education Ambassador
The Community Trust’s wide-ranging education programme ensures all learners develop academically, physically and socially to ensure they are prepared for full-time employment or further education. Our Post-16 BTEC Level 3 and Level 2 courses offer 16-18-year olds the opportunity to study the business of sport. Student’s studies are further enhanced through practical sport, with learners representing Bristol Rovers in football, boxing or cricket.

Alfie Kilgour – Sports Ambassador
The Community Trust aim to increase sports participation across all ages of the communities of Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Participating in sports has a positive influence in many areas and our free football sessions, matchday experience packages and our school holiday ‘fun days’ help to facilitate an active lifestyle.

Mark Little – Inclusion Ambassador
The social inclusion programs run by the Community Trust aim to improve the opportunities on which individuals and groups take part in society, improving the ability, opportunity, and dignity of those who are disadvantaged. Projects such as the Premier League Kicks programme offers free football opportunities to the whole community using high-quality accessible spaces.

Everyone at Bristol Rovers Community Trust would like to thank Ollie, Alex, Alfie and Mark for their continued contributions and we look forward to working with them closely throughout the season.
