25 January 2019

Midfielder Luke Russe has today joined Gloucester City on a month-long loan.

The National League South side are currently 20th in the table and face Bath City in somewhat of a derby this Saturday and Luke will be available for selection.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who made his full league debut against MK Dons last season, has been a constant feature of the Development Squad since its inception.

Prior to his senior bow at Stadium MK, Luke had featured in two EFL Trophy games, firstly the 5-1 win at Wycombe Wanderers before the 3-1 loss at home to West Ham Under-21s.

His further two league appearances came last season two following his debut, coming on as a substitute away at Fleetwood Town and Southend United.

This campaign, he has featured in all three of Rovers' Checkatrade Trophy ties, taking his total appearance to eight.

For the past two years, the midfielder has been included in the club's senior preseason tours, Portugal in 2017 and Holland this year.

Luke was also an integral part of the Development Squad that claimed the Central League title last season.

Everybody at the Club wishes Luke the best of luck during his loan spell.
