Press Talk...

Speaking ahead of the long trip south to Bristol, Sunderland boss Jack Ross stated that he's expecting a tough encounter at BS7.

Speaking to sunderland.co.uk, Ross said, "They (Rovers) are good form at the minute and it's probably similar to a lot of the games we have had recently, where on paper, it seems like a straight forward game due to the league position, but the reality is that these teams are fighting to stay in the league.

"Bristol Rovers are another team, where we have seen during the week at Portsmouth, the form that they are in and the results that they have achieved. Any game away from home for us this season has been challenging and it will be the same again on Saturday."

Star Man...

Will Grigg opened his account for Sunderland in their mid-week victory over Gillingham at the Stadium of Light. The forward was a January transfer addition to aid in the Black Cats' promotion bid, arriving from Wigan for a rumoured four million pound fee.

Stat Attack...

Sunderland have scored in every league game so far this season and are currently enjoying an 11 game unbeaten streak that dates back to the middle of December. On the road, Sunderland have picked up two points in their last previous two games, drawing with both Oxford and Scunthorpe.
