The Pirate - New Look Programme On Sale at Today's Game!

10 August 2019

As we count down to the opening home fixture of the season, we are pleased to bring you the new-look match-day programme for the 2019/20 campaign, The Pirate.

Based on a theme of celebrating Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, each programme will be punctuated by three original, exclusive interviews, with Rovers players of the past, present and future. For the game against Wycombe, you can read thoughts from Geoff Twentyman on that dream season of 1989/90; read potential future star, Lucas Tomlinson, talks about his development as a Gas player; and new Captain Ollie Clarke talks about being given the armband, the new season, and much more.

The Yesterday section of the programme features looks into the Rovers archive; a special regular feature on football during the war; an in-depth look at the 1989/90 season; reflections from the Rovers History Group and more.

In the Today section, we have glossy match action pages; a detailed rundown on the opposition; and of course thoughts from our manager, Graham Coughlan. You can also read brand new features as we try to find the teams most like Rovers in other countries; a deep dive into things we love about football, and we try to tackle the big issues surrounding the game. The Supporters Club, Presidents Club and 92 Club are also represented.

In Tomorrow, we look to the future, with Rovers Community Trust, Academy, Development and Womens’ team features. This is also the place for Young Pirates – can you find Gastro Gnome? And will you win his season-long competition?

All this plus information on upcoming games both home and away, divisional stats, your dedications and shout-outs, and more.

The programme remains at £3, is 84 pages long, with a huge amount of fresh, new content.
