Checkatrade Team News: Exeter City v Rovers

13 November 2018

A mixture of youth and experience for tonight's Checkatrade Trophy clash at Exeter City.

Including in the starting XI is Academy scholar, Zain Walker - as the sixteen-year-old winger makes his Rovers debut following an impressive start to the season for the U18's.

Also featuring in the matchday squad is Academy striker, Harry Warwick. The forward, who has thirteen goals to his name for the U18's this term, has been recalled from his loan spell at Gloucester City for the fixture and will return on loan to the National League South side tomorrow.

Adam Smith starts in goal for the second game in a row - as Joe Partington and Joe Martin form the base of the Rovers defence that also includes Michael Kelly and Rollin Menayese.

The youthful theme is continued in midfield, as the Development Squad pairing of Luke Russe and Connor Jones are joined by Sam Matthews and with youngster Zain Walker operating out wide.

The attacking presence for Rovers is led by Alex Jakubiak and Gavin Reilly.

On the bench, Tareiq Holmes-Dennis is included in the match day squad.
