Peterborough United boss Steve Evans spoke to the press on Thursday afternoon ahead of Saturday's game, as Rovers make the trip to the ABAX Stadium.
Evans has had a busy summer, overseeing a whopping 32 incomings and outgoings as the Scotsman overhauled the squad in order to build his side ahead of the new campaign.
The 55-year old took only took over at United in March this year and landed them 9th and seven points off the play-off spots after taking the reins mid-flight.
Whilst speaking to the press on Thursday, Evans touched on Saturday's game and told Peterborough's website; "We are looking forward to the game against Bristol Rovers. Darrell Clarke is a man that I know well. He has done a wonderful job at the club and they have got some good players. They will be backed by a big fan base but hopefully so will we.
"Darrell's done brilliantly since being at the club, he got them straight back up to League Two then League One and at one stage last season, it looked as though they were going to be competing for the play-offs to the Championship - it's been an incredible turnaround!"

We also sought the knowledge of Peterborough Telegraph reporter Alan Swann to get the lowdown on the Posh's summer.
"It has been the most remarkable summer I've known in 26 years reporting on Posh - 32 transfer transactions so far (there will be more, there's another week until transfer deadline day after all) is an astonishing figure.
"It also makes predictions impossible. Who knows how quickly they will gel (slowly I would guess) for a start?
"More definitely the loss of Jack Marriott and Gwion Edwards to the Championship won't help the club's ambitions.
"Marriott's 33 goals last term in a bang average team was a fantastic achievement and the pressure will be on new strikers Jason Cummings (on loan from Forest) and Matt Godden (Stevenage) to get somewhere near that tally.
"I suspect the arrival of some tough-looking six-foot defenders like Rhys Bennett (Mansfield), Colin Daniel (Blackpool) and Jason Naismith (Ross County) and a six foot seven-inch goalkeeper in Aaron Chapman (Accrington) will make Posh harder to beat.
"I expect them to be better organised and less prone to the mental lapses that cost them dear last season, but flair might be harder to find.
