Pick Up A Copy Of Our Matchday Programme

22 September 2017

Our matchday programme, The Pirate, underwent a major overhaul in the summer and we are pleased to announce that every league issue will consist of 88 pages and still cost just £3.00.

This season’s issue is packed full of news and views from an eclectic mix of contributors, all writing about Bristol Rovers and those articles sit side by side with a wide range of articles on club matters.

In Saturday’s programme, for our game against Blackpool, manager Darrell Clarke pens his own article, we have news from our Academy, including an update on the U-16 team, who will be presented to the crowd at half time on Saturday.

In addition, we carry a centre page poster of Marc Bola and an extensive historical section where we look back at this month in 2005 a month that saw Paul Trollope take over from Ian Atkins when Ryan Williams was transfer listed without his knowledge and Michael Leary joined us on loan.

Chairman Steve Hamer expresses his concern about recent problems experienced at some of our matches and contributor John Thomson pens a powerful article about racism, which is very timely in the light of recent events.

In addition, we carry interviews with Tom Nichols and Billy Bodin, while it’s Tom Lockyer’s turn to be the dressing room DJ in this week’s edition of Pirate Sounds, brought to you by Lance Cook.

The Pirate is available from the club shop and sellers around the stadium and still only £3.00; why not purchase a copy this weekend and see what you think?
