INITIAL PHASES OF CLEARING & SECURING THE NEW TRAINING GROUND SITE

Following the clubs acquisition of a 28 acre training ground site in February, work is now underway to develop the clubs new home at ‘The Colony’.


The initial phases of work have focused on securing the existing site as well as clearing the land in preparation for the next stage of the project.


Upon visiting the Training Ground site today, club Chairman Steve Hamer said “For the club, it’s a legacy project that we’re working on and it’s very exciting to be here at the beginning."


Dwane Sports Group, owners of Bristol Rovers Football Club completed the purchase of ‘The Colony’ on Friday 3rd February and will develop the site to accommodate the Club’s Academy and, to and to satisfy the training requirements of the full-time professional players, as well as providing medical treatment and gymnasium facilities.
