Getting to Know: Bradford City

Take a look at our opponents next season in SkyBet League One.

9 June 2017

We take a look at Bradford City ahead of the start of the 2017/18 campaign.

Team Nickname: The Bantams

Home Ground: Valley Parade

Distance from the Mem: 216 miles (432-mile round trip)

Manager: Manager Stuart McCall made over two-hundred-and-thirty appearances for the Club and has been in charge since June 2016. In his first season as Manager at Valley Parade, the former Scottish international has recorded a win percentage of 43.9%.

Last Season: It was Wembley heartache for Bradford as they were defeated in the play-off final by Millwall. Bradford had finished the regular season placed 5th in SkyBet League One, with a points tally of 79.

Last Encounter: Rovers played out 1-1 draws on both occasions when the sides met last campaign. The last meeting between the teams saw Joe Lumley produce a number of fine saves during the second half to keep the scores level after Chris Lines' strike had been called out by Nicky Law in the first period.

New Recruits: No additions so far this summer at Bradford City, with the departures of Billy Clarke and defender James Meredith being the only transfer moments at Valley Parade for the time being.

SkyBet Odds: League sponsors SkyBet offer odds of 10/1 on Bradford being crowned champions come May 2018.
