THE COLONY TRAINING GROUND

9 February 2017

Many of our supporters are still inquiring about the distinction between Bristol Rovers F.C and Dwane Sports.

Below is the official Dwane Sports LTD corporate press release regarding the recent acquisition of the club's new training ground site in Almondsbury, which emphasises Dwane Sports commitment to Bristol Rovers F.C and its long-term future.

"Dwane Sports Group, owners of Bristol Rovers FC, are delighted to announce their acquisition of a 28-acre site in Almondsbury which Dwane will develop to accommodate the Club’s Academy and to satisfy the training requirements of the full-time professional players, as well as providing medical treatment facilities.

It is hoped that Academy 2 status will be obtained, enabling the Club to develop and prosper a new generation of young aspiring professional players. Hani Al-Qadi, Chairman of the Dwane Sports Group said: "This is an exciting new development that, again, illustrates our ambition to build constructively for the long-term future of the Club and its supporters."
