The development squad will face Bury F.C in a qualifying fixture for this season's Premier League Cup.
The Premier League Cup is a National competition and consists of eight groups of four clubs. During the group stage, each team will play each other twice (home and away), playing six matches in the process.
The winner of each group, plus the runners-up, will advance to the knock-out stages.
There will then be round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final (all one-leg fixtures) to decide the champion.
The draw for the Premier League Cup Group Stages will take place at 12.00 (noon) on Thursday 17 August 2017.
If Rovers qualify for the group stages, all home matches will be played at the Memorial Stadium.
