Match Preview: Bury v Bristol Rovers

We take a quick look at Saturday's opponents, Bury F.C.

Rovers make the journey north to take on Lee Clarke's Bury F.C. There was been big changes at Gigg Lane during the summer, with 18 new players arriving.

Darrell's View: "Bury have obviously signed some quite big name players and done a lot of transfer business, we'll see how they go. For me, it's just try and take them on and win a game.

I've got enough experience in my squad, most of my players have played 100, 200, 300 games now so they're at a good age. They know their game inside out, I'm sure we're not going up there in experienced that's for sure. It'll be a tough test, but they all are."

Opposition: With one win and one defeat so far this campaign, Bury currently occupy 14th place in SkyBet League One.

Dangerman - Jermaine Beckford: A well-known name in the EFL, having played over three-hundred games, scoring just shy of one-hundred-and-thirty goals.

The striker's past clubs include Leeds United, Scunthorpe, Leicester, Huddersfield, Bolton, Preston and the spell playing the Premier League with Everton in the 2010/11 season.

The thirty-three-year-old penned a deal at Gigg Lane at the beginning of the summer, following his release from Preston North End. On joining Bury the striker insisted that the decision to join the club was a 'no brainer' and scored the winning goal on his debut in Bury's 1-0 victory over Walsall on the opening weekend of the season.

Last Time Out: Rovers were defeated on their last visit to Gigg Lane back in March. Stuart Sinclair was shown an early red card inside the opening forty minutes, as goals from James Vaughan, George Miller and Greg Leigh secured the points for the Shakers.
