PICK UP A COPY OF OUR BUMPER FINAL GAME PROGRAMME

27 April 2017

Bumper programme - same price of £3!

If you are coming to The Memorial Stadium for our game against Millwall on Sunday, then we hope you will pick up a copy of our matchday programme which, for our final game of the season, contains 92 pages with the usual cover price of £3.00.

In this issue manager Darrell Clarke and Chairman Steve Hamer pen their own notes and we carry interviews with Steve Yates and Lee Mansell.

Our centre spread is given over to a selection of photos from the recent Open Training Session at The Mem, including photos of all of this season’s award winners.

In this issue, we look back to our game against Millwall in September 2009, a game that ended in a 2-0 win for Rovers.

It’s 20 years since we played our first game at The Memorial Stadium and that fact is celebrated by historian Leigh Edwards, who looks back at key moments for the club in the month of April over the course of those 20 years.

We also bring you news and views from our support organisations, namely The Supporters Club, Helpline, The Presidents Club and The Young Pirates.

Our Academy section brings you reports from two U-18 games and news of the scholars who are making the step up to the pro ranks next seasons along with a profile of second-year scholar Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist

Check out our Fanzone pages, where we celebrate birthdays, remember former fans and bring you news of some special visitors we have had in the last few weeks.

Mike Jay’s series of Looking Back articles takes us up to the end of last season, so he will need a new topic to cover next time around.

Our ‘Famous Against The Gas’ series of photos features Alan Ball in action for Southampton against Rovers in 1977 as well as a photo of him playing for The Gas.

And there’s more! With 92 pages to get through, we believe there is something for everyone in Sunday’s final issue of the season and hope that as many of you as possible will purchase a copy.

Priced at only £3.00, it really is a bargain!

The Pirate is available from the club shop, online, or from sellers around the ground…don’t forget to buy yours!
