MATCH PREVIEW: BRISTOL ROVERS vs PORT VALE

24 September 2016

We take a quick look at today's opponents!

Bristol Rovers go into today's game looking to get their third win of the season against Port Vale.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be looking to build on Tuesday night's win against Swindon Town.

Team News: Rovers have a full squad to pick from with the exception of Jake Clarke-Salter who remains at Chelsea as he recovers from his slight knee injury.

Darrell's View:”It was an important win on Tuesday night for the supporters but more importantly as a squad, we needed that three points.

"Port Vale will be a tough game as they've had a good start but hopefully we can put an end to their good run and climb up the table."

Opposition: Today's opposition Port Vale currently sit inside the SkyBet League One Play-Off zone with 14 points from their 8 league outings this season. Bruno Ribeiro's men came from a goal down last time out to beat Gillingham thanks to goals from Remie Streete and Alex Jones.

Dangerman - Alex Jones: The Valiants frontman has been in fine form this season hitting the back of the net on five occasions already in the league including three goals in his last two games for Port Vale.
Last Time Out: A Ryan Brunt double secured all three points for John Wards side back in March 2013 at the Memorial Stadium.
