THREE TO WATCH - PETERBOROUGH UNITED

28 October 2016

Take a look at some of the potential threats in the ranks of Saturday's visitors to the Memorial Ground, Peterborough United.

Gwion Edwards

The Welsh Winger has been on the scoresheet on five occasions this campaign since joining from Crawley Town in the summer.

A product of the Swansea City academy, it was a move to St Johnstone that allowed Edwards to gain a taste of first-team football, before securing a loan move to Crawley that was made permanent ahead of the 2014/15 season.

After finding the net twelve times for Crawley in his two-year spell with the club, the winger signed for the London Road outfit this summer.

The midfielder last found the target in Peterborough's 1-1 draw this Shrewsbury Town towards the end of September and will pose a threat from wide positions.

Michael Smith

A name familiar to Rovers fans, as the defender made over eighty appearances for the Gas between 2011-2014 and was twice voted Rovers' player of the year.

Since joining the Posh in 2014, Micheal has progressed to make over eighty appearances for Peterborough United and this year the defender received his first call-up to the senior Northern Ireland squad for friendlies against Wales and Slovenia back in March.

Marcus Maddison

The versatile attacking midfielder is Peterborough's leading scorer this season, with six goals to his name so far during 2016/17 Sky Bet League One Season.

After starting out with Newcastle United's academy, it was a move to Gateshead that reignited Marcus' career, as the winger scored 13 league goals for Gateshead in 34 league appearances.

In 2014 Marcus arrived at Peterborough under the guidance of former boss Darren Furguson and has since scored twenty-four goals for the club.
