WELSH INTERNATIONAL HARRISON SIGNS NEW DEAL

17 June 2016

Bristol Rovers are delighted to announce that Wales Under-21 International Ellis Harrison has signed a new deal with the club.

The former Rovers scholar was handed his first team debut by then caretaker boss Stuart Campbell back in April 2011, when he went on as a second half substitute at Southampton.

Ellis has since gone on to make 114 appearances in the blue and white quarters, hitting the back of the net 26 times. A particularly prolific spell at the end of the Conference promotion season saw him play a key role in our promotion back into the football league, including a goal at Wembley Stadium to equalise against Grimsby Town in the play off final.

On signing his new deal with the club, Harrison told us "It's great to sign another deal with the club and I can't wait to come back and get started in League One.

"I've been working hard on myself over the summer and I'm ready to come back better than ever."

Harrison becomes the seventh player from the promotion winning squad to agree a new contract with the club, following teammates Steve Mildenhall, Daniel Leadbitter and Billy Bodin, James Clarke, Lee Mansell and Mark McChrystal.
