ADAM DRURY JOINS THE CLUB

1 September 2015

Rovers today completed the signing of former Manchester City youngster Adam Drury on a non-contract basis.

Manager Darrell Clarke said if his new signing; “Adam has had a good grounding in the game having spent his formative years with Manchester City.

“He also spent time on loan with Burton Albion and for the first part of last season played in Scotland with St Mirren.

“The move to Rovers gives him an opportunity to impress and if he does well he will get the chance of earning himself a longer deal.”

Adam said; “I’m delighted to be here and I’m ready to kick on. I spent almost ten years with Manchester City and really enjoyed my time there.”

Adam spent time with both Leeds United and Bradford City in the summer but wasn’t offered a deal with either club.

The right back or right wing back says he’s comfortable in any position; “I’m known for being a little bit of a utility player and think the knowledge I’ve gained can help me play in quite a few positions.

“I think I’ve matured a little bit in the last few years and can’t wait to get my Rovers career underway.”

Chairman Nick Higgs said; “I am delighted to welcome Adam to Bristol Rovers and I wish him every success during his time with us.”
