Bristol Rovers have today extended the loan of Leicester City midfielder Adam Dawson until 18th April, which means he is eligible to play in our penultimate game of the season at Dover.

Unfortunately, the loan deal cannot be extended after that date.

Dawson, who arrived at the club in January, has proved to be a valuable addition to Darrell Clarke's squad and has so far appeared in seven league games.

Speaking about the extension of his loan, Dawson said; "I'm delighted that I will be staying at Rovers until the Dover game as I'm thoroughly enjoying my time here.

"I hope I can play my part in making it a successful conclusion to the campaign and the only disappointment is that I won't be able to play in the final game against Alfreton Town."

Darrell was also pleased that Adam will be staying at the club; “It’s good that we are able to keep him on board for another month as his attitude and effort has been fantastic since he first came to us.”

In addition to Adam’s extension, the club has also agreed to extend the stay of Jamie Lucas at Weston super Mare

The striker is currently in a rich vein of form and last week picked up the Vanarama Conference South Player of the Month Award for February.
