THANK YOU GASHEADS!

27 February 2015

It’s known as the Business End of the season, and as far as Bristol Rovers are concerned, business is booming.

With only five home games remaining, supporters who might have hoped to take advantage of any of our superb Corporate Hospitality packages are set to be disappointed as we have completely sold out.

So, if you want to come along and get behind Darrell Clarke and the team as they take on Eastleigh, Aldershot Town, Chester FC, Southport and Alfreton Town, only seats and terrace places are available.

Director Barry Bradshaw today paid tribute to his commercial team and said; “To sell out of all Hospitality Packages with five games still to go is unprecedented in my time at the club and I would like to thank every member of the commercial and catering team who have gone out of their way to make this possible.”

Barry was also instrumental in setting up the club’s Retail Panel in response to criticism, from some quarters, about how the club interacted with supporters.

The group has proved to be very successful and their latest project, which involved selecting choices for next season’s away kit has so far attracted over 3,000 voters visiting the designated website to cast a vote for their favourite strip (you only have until midnight on Saturday to vote here so be quick!)

“The response has been exceptional, and I am pleased that the hard work that has been undertaken by the Retail Panel has been so well received by our supporters,” said Barry.
With the side hitting top spot in the Vanarama Conference League table following their victory against Braintree Town on Tuesday evening, we are set for an exciting and interesting finale to the season.

The average home attendance for the season currently stands at 6,117 and Barry said; “I have always said that Bristol Rovers is a family club and I feel that even more so this season.

“A great deal of criticism was aimed at the Board following our relegation last summer, some of it justified, some not. However we listened to all that was being said and we have done our best to build bridges between ourselves and our fan base.

“We are nothing without our supporters, who are amongst the most loyal in the country and we would like to thank them all for the way they have stayed with us this season. Our home attendances are better than many League One and Two clubs and the numbers we have taken to away games has been absolutely amazing.

“Of course there are still ways in which we can improve, and we continue to make progress, but I would like to thank all supporters for their loyalty and backing and for remaining part of our family.”
