ALTRINCHAM MATCH PACK

20 February 2015

Everything you need to know about tomorrow's opponents!

Bristol Rovers return to the Memorial Stadium for two critical games, the first of which being against Altrincham.

Rovers: The men in blue and white have a fantastic home record in the league and will be looking to secure their 12th victory at the Mem. Defensive shut outs have been key for Rovers at home with the side only shipping 9 goals in the 16 games this season.

Team News: Darrell said in his press conference yesterday that rehab with Stuart Sinclair, Ollie Clarke and Jermaine Easter is going well but all three would need to be assessed before being passed fit enough to take part tomorrow.

Darrell's View: "We may have lost against Altrincham earlier on in the season but we are a completely different animal now as are Altrincham, they have changed a lot through the season.

"Everyone seems to look at it as Bristol Rovers vs Altrincham should be an easy three points for us on name alone but it won't be as easy as that and we certainly aren't taking it that way.

Opposition: Tomorrow's opposition Altrincham are currently 15th in the Vanarama Conference Premier table with 46 points from their 34 games. Following a poor start to the season, Alty have recovered in recent weeks and have secured wins against Chester, Eastleigh, Torquay and Aldershot. In their last outing they drew 2-2 with playoff side Forest Green Rovers with top goal scorer Damian Reeves adding his 15 league goal of the season just before half time.

Dangerman - Damian Reeves: Reeves has started every single game for Alty this season and boasts an impressive goal tally of 15 goals. The 29 year old striker arrived in the summer of 2010 from Northwich Victoria on a free transfer having previously had spells at Histon FC, Farsley Celtic and Barnsley after starting his career with Leeds United.

Last Meeting: Rovers had a game to forget at Moss Lane back in August with Damien Reeves and a Mark McChrystal own goal securing all three points for Alty in a 2-1 win. Lee Mansell pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining but it wasn't enough and Rovers had midfielder Stuart Sinclair sent off in the 90th minute.
