NICK DAY'S ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE

2 September 2014

Donate now to see Nick take on the challenge

Would you like to see match day announcer Nick Day get soaking wet for a good cause? Well here is your chance.

Nick has received three nominations for the Ice Bucket Challenge and he has pledged to do it on the pitch at half time if we can raise enough money.

If we can raise £500, Nick will take the challenge and if you donate £50 you can chuck the water over him yourself!

Nick said: “After three Ice Bucket Challenges (from John Malyckyj, Silas Freeman and Ian Chappell), the challenge has led to a Facebook campaign for me to get drenched on the pitch live at half time of a Bristol Rovers match.

“So, I've agreed as long as we can raise some cash for a good cause!  If I'm going to suffer humiliation in front of 5,000 people, we might as well raise some dosh!

“I can't support ALS through JustGiving as they are US based and not a recognised JG charity.

“However, I've nominated the Bristol based Wallace & Gommit Grand Appeal which does great work with sick kids and their families at Bristol’s Children's Hospital.  I'll make my own personal donation to ALS.

“Here's the deal. £500 and I'll do it. Pledge £50 and you can even pour a bucket yourself. I don't care how many buckets if the fifties keep rolling in!

“If this works, I'm aiming for the game against Wrexham on Tuesday 9th September.  If we hit £500, please keep donating.  Let's see if we can smash it!!”
