EASTLEIGH MATCH PACK

30 September 2014

All you need to know ahead of tonight's game

Rovers will be going into tonight's game looking to continue their recent good form and make it six wins in a row.

Opposition: Eastleigh come into the match on the back of a 3-0 loss away at Wrexham. The Spitfires currently sit in 13th place in the league, having won five, drawn four and lost three games so far.

Darrell’s View: “They (Eastleigh) are having a good go, they’ve got a good manager in Richard Hill who knows this level very well.

“They’ve had a really solid start, they’ve won four and drawn two at home and are unbeaten at home and it will be a very difficult place to go.

“Eastleigh have a lot of players in there with football league experience, some of them have had great league careers and certainly aren’t finished by a long shot.

“We will be taking a lot of support there and they have been fantastic for us this season – as always, so it will be a good game.

“We will keep going - it’s just another game with three points available that’s the way we will look at it.”

Opposition View: Manager Richard Hill said: "The club's come a long way in two years and we've earned the right to be where we are.

"We're becoming a big football club in our own right and we are all looking forward to playing against Bristol Rovers in front of what will be possibly our biggest league crowd."

"Irrespective of what the bookies see us as, we're the underdogs and for me that's quite unique.

"Not so long ago we'd have to have been in the Football League to be playing teams like that. I just think it's amazing, I really do. Tough games like this and the chance to test ourselves against this sort of opposition is one of the reasons I decided to come to this club."

Team News: Darrell should have a fully fit squad to choose from.
