Manager on Nuneaton & Woking

Darrell Clarke was happy with his side’s performance on Tuesday night but insists there are still plenty of points up for grabs this season.

The manager said “Yeah it was a good performance, we played some good stuff at times.

“We probably weren’t clinical enough at times but that’s just me nit picking but it was a good all round team performance.

“We’re winning games but we’re not getting carried away, we keep saying it’s a tough league and you have to approach every game in the right way.

“Every game is a different project, we just keep going about our business and working hard on the training pitch and we still have lots of hard work ahead of us.

“There is still a long way to go and plenty of points available.”

Woking are up next at the Memorial Stadium and Darrell has said it will be another tough task that his team are ready for.

“They’re are a decent side, they have a very experienced non-league manager in Garry Hill and they have a good squad there.

“Every game is tough in this league but we’ve already faced some tough teams.

“Halifax have come here with a 100% record, Wrexham came here with a 100% away record, so we will just see what Saturday brings.”

“I’ve stressed all along that we’ve got our targets, obviously I do look at the table but the concern to me is the next game.

“I will definitely spend more time looking at the next team rather than the league table wondering what if.

“At the end of the day it’s about us winning as many games in the season and the league table will take care of itself.

There is no news on Jamie Turley just yet but the rest of the squad is ready to go for the weekend.

“No developments on Jamie, we will just see. It’s a case of waiting for results to come back.

"The squad as a whole are fine with no problems."
