Welcome to the Gas, Lamare Bogarde!
Bristol Rovers are delighted to announce the loan signing of defender Lamare Bogarde from Aston Villa.
Bogarde, 19, was born in Rotterdam and started his football career in Feyenoord's academy before departing Holland in 2020 to join Premier League side Aston Villa.
Capped at U15, U16 and U18 levels for Holland, Lamare was handed his professional debut for Villa in January 2021 for the Villians in a FA Cup Third Round tie against Liverpool. After impressing during his debut, Bogarde was awarded his first professional deal soon after.
He was part of the Villa U18s side that won the FA Youth Cup in May 2021 beating Liverpool, and now Rovers teammate Jarell Quansah, 2-1 in the final.
Lamare becomes our fourth signing of the January transfer window after Ellery Balcombe, Jarell Quansah and Grant Ward's moves to BS7.
