24.01.22 Match Preview - Scunthorpe v Rovers

Rovers square up against Scunthorpe United next in the Sky Bet League Two. Below is all the pre-match info ahead of our Tuesday night clash!

The Gas go into the game against Keith Hill's side after taking a point out of our previous fixture against Swindon Town. Rovers are unbeaten in three Sky Bet League Two fixtures after Saturday's draw and will be looking to extend that run to four games in tomorrow's clash against the Iron.

Opposition View

Iron Manager, Keith Hill says he is looking forward to the visit of Rovers tomorrow evening;

"It's one I'm really looking forward to, even though we've got a depleted squad going into it. It creates an opportunity for us as a football club and for the players to test ourselves over 90 minutes.

"Those are the challenges and they need to be met by the group of players, myself and all the staff.

"It's amazing what happens when you get that little bit of confidence and self-belief, but you've got to fight for it and we really have to fight and dig deep, but to do that we need a little bit of luck as well."

Form Guide

The Iron are currently on a four game losing streak in the Sky Bet League Two and suffered a 0-1 home defeat at the hands of Newport County last time out. Scunthorpe are currently in 23rd place in the league standings with a return of 19 points in their 26 games this season. Scunthorpe have scored 19 goals in the league this season and average 9.9 shots per game.

Since Ryan's departure from The Sands Venue Stadium, Myles Hippolyte has had to take up the goalscoring responsibilities. This season, Hippolyte has scored four goals and provided two assists in 18 Sky Bet League Two appearances so far this campaign.
