What’s new at The Mem for 2026/27?

Pukka Fanzone

A first home game of the 2026/27 campaign awaits Bristol Rovers players, staff and supporters alike at The Memorial Stadium.

The visit of local rivals Newport County promises a tasty fixture for Gasheads to get their teeth into on Saturday 22 August, and those heading down Filton Avenue and into The Mem may spot other changes across the ground for the new season.

Further improvements are still to come also, with more being done around The Memorial Stadium in the early weeks of the 2026/27 campaign.

For now though, read on for some of the new options across the Mem which are available from Saturday’s match against Newport...

POPLAR INSULATION STAND

Butcombe Bar has often been the only available place for supporters in the Poplar Insulation Stand to purchase alcohol. However, after a successful trial last season, we are pleased to confirm the horsebox bar with be a permanent fixture throughout the 2026/27 season.

Situated behind the Poplar Insulation Stand, the horsebox bar will offer Poretti and Thatchers Gold on draft as well Tall Tales pale ale bottles and bottled soft drinks.

The permanent addition of the horsebox bar will help to reduce queue times for supporters in the East Stand and make getting a half-time drink easier than ever before.

Fans are also reminded that the only smoking area at the Club is behind the Poplar Insulation Stand.

The Club Shop is also situated in the Poplar Insulation Stand, stocking our 2026/27 Primary and Secondary kits. New, in time for the Newport County fixture, is our range of pre-match, training and travel wear for the 2026/27 season.

PUKKA FANZONE / PIRATE DECK / THATCHERS TERRACE

Supporters heading into the Fanzone this weekend will notice new branding in place as we proudly welcome Pukka as our Fanzone sponsor.

The Pukka Fanzone has seen further seating options added, spread across from the main entrance down to the Pirate Deck, while a new retail unit has also been added – allowing supporters to purchase their new Primary and Secondary kits without heading to the Poplar Insulation Stand.

A new bar has also been placed at the top of the Pukka Fanzone entrance, adding to the Thatchers Bar, Legends Bar and other outdoor options.

On the food front, we are pleased to share new options on our menus following supporter feedback. In addition to our usual, tasty options, including burgers, chips, chicken goujons, and the fine selections available from concessions partners Rollover and Proper Cornish, fans can now enjoy healthier options like chicken wraps, salads and falafel.

For those looking for a more substantial meal, traditional pub grub options are now available from Irenes in the Legends Bar.

Young supporters who enjoy the activities on the Pirate Deck have even more to look forward to as well, with new games available including a giant Connect 4 and a giant KerPlunk set.

WEST STAND

A new premium hospitality offering can be found in our West Stand, in our newly created CJ Hole Lounge.

This space can accommodate up to 60 adult guests per matchday and gives a unique, high-end alternative option for watching a home match at Bristol Rovers.

COOLING FX TERRACE

Those walking through the Cooling FX Stand have become used to the elements as the season ticks into the colder days and darker evenings.

This summer, however, the Club has added protective panelling to the back of the stand, ensuring our supporters in the area are shielded from the wind, rain and other extreme weathers that have disrupted their matchday experience in the past.

We have also put a new kiosk in this area, double the size of the previous one, giving supporters even greater option in the area.

MKJ STAND

Those who regularly frequent the South West corner at The Memorial Stadium, and sit in the Family Stand for fixtures, will know too well that congestion and footfall can be heavy in this area.

Multiple queues can prove challenging to manoeuvre between, but the Club has invested in a new, 40-foot long kiosk for this part of The Mem, increasing the windows for purchases and reducing queue times.

Fans can purchase their favourite matchday concessions from this kiosk, including pasties, pies, sausage rolls, crisps and sweets, as well as tea and coffees.

Following fan feedback, we are pleased to share that chips will now also be available from this kiosk too.

Supporters are advised that this new kiosk is a food-only vendor and no alcohol can be purchased from it.

BRUNEL GROUP STAND

Finally, for supporters in the South Stand, two designated Pirate’s Bars are available to purchase drinks from.

Both bars sell Thatchers Gold, Poretti, Tall Tales IPA and the Bristol Rovers 1883 Lager on draught, while bottled soft drink options are also available.

Supporters are advised that only beverages are available from these bars and those looking to purchase food options should head to the Southwest corner.

HALF-TIME

Half-time is often the opportunity to refresh drinks, grab something to eat, and catch up on other scores across Sky Bet League Two and England with your fellow Gasheads.

This season though, The Mem will also play host to a half-time game, which we’re inviting our fantastic supporters to take part in.

Three supporters from across the stadium will be invited to try their luck and test their aim at the Thatchers Target, which will be situated in the centre-circle on The Mem pitch.

The winning fan will be the recipient of a case of Thatchers, courtesy of our partnership with our longstanding friends at Thatchers.

Supporters are advised that, due to the nature of the half-time game, entry is strictly limited to over 18s only.
