Bristol Rovers Women's Manager Nathan Hallet-Young reflects on the 2025/26 WNL season, and looks ahead to the Final of the Women's County Cup.

"It’s been a tough season at times, if I’m honest. We set ourselves targets at the start of the season, we’ve fallen short on some, but we’ve also achieved and even surpassed others. That’s the reality of where we are and it’s something we’ve had to face head on.

As staff and players, we’ve been tested, not just in our ability, but in our character. There have been moments where we’ve had to dig in, stay together and keep pushing and I think that’s where we have grown the most.
We’ve learnt a lot about ourselves this year.

What we stand for, what we expect and what it really takes to compete at Step 4 and above. Those lessons are humbling but also important and they’ll shape what we do moving forward. Reaching this final gives us an opportunity to reflect that growth on the pitch.

We want to be front footed, we want to be aggressive and we want to play with intent but most importantly, we want to represent ourselves properly, represent these quarters with pride and make every Gas Head proud.

Tonight isn't just about winning silverware, yes, its nice, yes, its adding a trophy into the cabinet that we haven't won before, but more importantly its about how we want to end the season and the statements we want to put out there ahead of next season.

This season has set us up for what comes next and now it’s about finishing it the right way."
