It is time to vote for your Bristol Rovers Men’s August Player Of The Month, sponsored by Christophe Duchamp!
Darrell Clarke’s Gas kicked off the 2025/26 campaign with eight competitive matches in the opening four weeks of the season and, while the first four matches painted a disappointing picture, improvements in the second half of the month saw Rovers pick up seven points in League Two and secure a comeback result in the Vertu Trophy group stages against Tottenham Hotspur U21s.
Gasheads can now vote for the Rovers player who stood out as the Player Of The Month in August, with three options from the men’s first team to choose from!
ALFIE KILGOUR

What a return to the Gas it has been for one of our own, Alfie Kilgour!
Named the new Bristol Rovers captain at the start of the campaign, the centre-back has epitomised what it has meant to wear the blue-and-white quarters, showcasing heart, passion, drive and determination for the badge in every outing.
The 27-year-old was a mainstay in the Sky Bet League Two starting XI for Rovers in August and has averaged 7.5 clearances per match for so far this season, not to mention 1.2 tackles, and claimed the assist for Ellis Harrison’s winning strike in the 1-0 victory against Cambridge United.
Jack Sparkes

The first signing of the summer transfer window has been a revelation for the Gas down the left-flank.
Jack Sparkes, like Kilgour, has played the full complement of minutes in every Sky Bet League Two game so far this season for Rovers, and been a consistent threat with his precise crossing and electric pace.
Sparkes tops the tackling charts for Rovers in August, averaging 2.3 successful tackles per game, and has also achieved the most blocks too. Going forward, the 24-year-old also has averaged 1.7 key passes per match and 1.8 crosses per fixture as well.
Luke Southwood

Three clean-sheets for Rovers so far this season, all of which have come in the last three Sky Bet League Two fixtures, have turned August into a decent month for Luke Southwood.
Those trio of shut-outs mean Southwood now has the joint-most clean-sheets in the division this season, up there with Glenn Morris, Craig MacGillivray and Grant Smith.
It has been a bright start to life in BS7 for the Southwood, who has made 13 saves from 19 shots on target against him in Sky Bet League Two this campaign so far.
