Bristol Rovers are delighted to confirm that Luke Southwood, Ollie Dewsbury and Joel Cotterill have received international call-ups ahead of the upcoming September fixtures.
Goalkeeper Southwood has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The 27-year-old, who earned his first senior cap in 2022 against Luxembourg, will once again join up with Michael O’Neill’s side.
Northern Ireland started their campaign at the Stade de Luxembourg on Thursday 4 September, winning 3-1 and will travel to Cologne to take on Germany on Sunday 7 September. Both fixtures kick off at 7:45pm (GMT).

Meanwhile, young forward Dewsbury has been selected for the Wales U19s ahead of their three-team tournament in North Wales. Having first represented his country at U15 level, Ollie has gone on to make 21 appearances across the age groups and continues to progress through the national setup.
Cymru will face Austria at Colwyn Bay on Saturday 6 September, before taking on Belgium on Tuesday 9 September, with both matches starting at 7pm.

New addition Cotterill has been named in the Wales U21 squad. Cotterill began his international career at 14, advancing through the age groups and totalling 27 appearances.
Wales U21 will host Denmark on Monday 8 September, for the UEFA European U21s Championship Qualifying.
Criteria are in place for those called up to U21, U20, and U19 squads, where they are required to have started in three of our last five matches or started in 25 per cent of the club's matches in the current season.
Those called up for senior sides will automatically count towards the three required to call a match off.
Everyone at Bristol Rovers would like to congratulate Luke, Ollie and Joel on their well-deserved call-ups and wish them every success on the international stage.
