Bristol Rovers men’s first team players Taylor Moore and Shaq Forde gave the tradition of trick-or-treating a fun twist this Halloween, delivering goodies instead of asking for them.

Moore and Forde travelled across Bristol to surprise two families with shirts and other gifts from the Bristol Rovers Club Store, knocking on the doors wearing Halloween masks in the spirit of the time of year.

The duo first visit Jacob and Elicia. Sixteen-year-old Jacob has Treacher Collins syndrome, a genetic condition which affects an estimated one in 50,000 people, and older sister Elicia helps to provide a lot of Jacob’s care at home on top of working full-time at Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Their father, Wayne, also recently underwent major heart surgery too. With the entire family being Bristol Rovers supporters, Moore and Forde were happy to deliver goodie bags to each of them and spend time with them all.

The pair then visited Ben and Belle. Ben, who regularly attends the Community Trust’s Premier League Kicks Pan-Disability Sessions, is neuro diverse and has motor coordination difficulties.

Sister Belle is registered as a young carer and also plays a big role in her sibling’s care, having also recently developed her own love for football through the Premier League Kicks Primary Girls Sessions.

Watch how our reverse trick and treating surprise went down in the video player above!
