Bristol Rovers and the Community Trust were delighted to visit the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children to deliver early Christmas presents.
Bryant Bilongo, Alfie Chang, Ollie Dewsbury, Ellis Harrison, Ryan Howley, Tom Lockyer, Stephan Negru, Joel Senior, Luke Southwood, Luke Thomas, Brad Young , Promise Omochere and Clinton Mola visited the Hospital on Wednesday to gift presents, with the Rovers players personally donating all of the money to purchase the toys and gift cards for the children. The players also spent time with the children, taking pictures and signing autographs to make the afternoon a memorable one.
The Club would like to thank Smyths Toys at Cribbs Causeway, who generously provided a discount towards the presents, allowing more gifts to be purchased, spreading joy to even more young people.
The Community Trust is proud to facilitate our community events and was delighted to work together with the Club and the hospital to bring joy to children at this time of year.
Bristol Rovers Community Trust CEO, Adam Tutton, said: "We are delighted that today players from Bristol Rovers visited children on the wards at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, taking the time to meet them and hand out Christmas gifts purchased by the first-team squad.
"This is a fantastic example of how football can really make a positive difference. We hope that the visit brings some joy, smiles, and special moments to the children and their families."
